Antibacterial Powder for Dogs and Cats
A simple cornstarch and turmeric powder some owners dust onto minor surface scrapes — turmeric has mild natural antibacterial properties, though any deep or worsening wound needs veterinary attention.

1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp ground turmeric

Mix cornstarch and turmeric thoroughly in a small bowl.

Clean the minor wound gently with plain water first.

Dust a light layer of the powder over the clean, dry area.

Prevent excessive licking while the powder sets.

Seek veterinary care for any wound that’s deep, won’t stop bleeding, or shows signs of infection.
Storage Tip
Store the powder in a sealed container for up to six months. Note turmeric can stain light fur and fabric.
