Warm water
Mild, unscented soap
Sterile gauze

Gently clip away any fur around the wound if needed, for a clear view.

Rinse the area thoroughly with warm water to remove debris.

Clean gently with a small amount of mild, unscented soap, then rinse fully.

Pat dry with sterile gauze and apply gentle pressure if any minor bleeding continues.

Monitor daily for signs of infection — redness, swelling, discharge — and see a vet if any appear.
