Originally a water retriever in the marshlands of Italy’s Romagna region, the Lagotto Romagnolo shifted roles as wetlands were drained, becoming the world’s premier truffle-hunting dog. Its dense, curly, low-shedding coat and keen nose make it uniquely suited to both jobs.
