Lemon Flea Repellent Spray
A citrus-based spray using steeped lemon, whose scent many fleas find unappealing — a light-touch, natural complement to your regular flea prevention routine.
Prep: 10 minutes (plus steeping overnight)
Bake: Steep overnight
Yield: About 2 cups spray
Ingredients
1 lemon, thinly sliced
2 cups boiling water
Spray bottle

Place lemon slices in a heatproof container and pour boiling water over them.

Let steep, covered, overnight at room temperature.

Strain out the lemon slices and pour the liquid into a spray bottle.
3.
Lightly mist the coat, avoiding the eyes and face, before outdoor time.
4.
Reapply every few days, or after bathing.
Storage Tip
Refrigerate the strained spray and use within one week.
