Dog Treat Recipe
Tomato Juice Skunk Rinse
The old-fashioned skunk remedy passed down for generations — less effective at neutralizing the odor than a peroxide-based mix, but a reliable backup when that’s all you have on hand.
Tomato Juice Skunk Rinse
Prep: 5 minutes
Bake: Soak 10 minutes
Yield: Enough for one medium dog
Ingredients
1–2 cans unsalted tomato juice or puree
Directions
0.
Working outdoors, wet the dog’s coat with plain water first.
1.
Pour tomato juice generously over the affected areas, working it into the fur.
2.
Let sit for about 10 minutes.
3.
Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
4.
Follow with a regular dog shampoo bath, since tomato juice mainly masks rather than neutralizes the odor.
Storage Tip
Use fresh from the can; no advance preparation needed.
